Sarah + Adam // Earnslaw Burn Glacier Helicopter Elopement, Queenstown New Zealand
Melbourne couple Sarah and Adam met while working in the mining industry in Australia. When their job completed they started dating long distance until they took a lap of faith and bought a house together and the rest is history!
These guys love travel and adventure and it was during a six month holiday that Adam surprised Sarah with a romantic proposal under the northern lights in Iceland! Wow!
For their wedding day they originally looked at wedding venues in Queenstown and realised that a mountain top heli elopement felt much more like them. Together we planned the dream elopement! Travelling to beautiful Glenorchy about 30 minutes outside of Queenstown we met at the Glenorchy Aerodrome to be whisked away into the mountains by Heli Glenorchy.
Steph our local Glenorchy florist of Orange Blossom Designs met us at the Aerodrome with their gorgeous wedding bouquet and lovely Liz Muluschnig marriage celebrant joined us for the ride.
Classic beauty Sarah’s style was very classic and timeless with a lovely white lace gown and a tan wool coat to keep her warm on the snow capped mountain. She looked like a modern day Grace Kelly!
Heli Glenorchy’s flight into Mount Aspiring National Park was absolutely breathtaking. We flew over snow capped mountains, glaciers and waterfalls to land at the majestic pristine blue mountain lake Lochnagar for a very romantic and intimate wedding ceremony. From there we flew to to the magical location of the Earnslaw Burn with awe inspiring views onto the glacier and surrounded by mountain peaks covered in snow.
Here’s to one of the most romantic and adventurous Helicopter Elopements that I have ever had the pleasure be a part of!
