Jamie Lee + Kyle // Glenorchy, Queenstown New Zealand Romantic Honeymoon

In the romantic depths of a New Zealand winter I had the pleasure to meet Jamie Lee and Kyle while on their New Zealand honeymoon.  They had originally considered a New Zealand destination wedding but decided it was important for this intimate declaration of love to be made surrounded by the people who raised them.  So they planned their wedding in Jamie Lee’s hometown Georgia in the U.S. where they would marry surrounded by family and friends and have their honeymoon in New Zealand to take the wedding photos they had dreamed of.

Jamie Lee wore a beautiful gown by Atelier Bride and a stunning woollen cloak by Stainsborough a New Zealand craftsman who created the beautiful textiles for the Lord of the Rings.  This beautiful cloak was a wedding gift and not only look stunning on Jamie Lee but also kept her toasty warm during out snow capped mountain adventure.  Kyle’s style was rugged and handsome in a vintage tweed suit  and tan leather bow tie from Queenstown local Omen Suit Hire.

A storm had just cleared on the afternoon of Jamie Lee and Kyle’s honeymoon mountain top session leaving the valley floor carpeted in mist and low cloud.  Rainbows appeared as we left Glenorchy Aerodrome and climbed up into the mountains.  The views into the mist covered valley was breathtaking as we explored the snow capped mountains together.  The mood was very intimate and emotional as Jamie Lee and Kyle enjoyed their quiet moment on top of the moment reflecting on their love and the journey in life they have destined to travel together.
